Kinderspot has been developed as a mobile application and web admin portal to facilitate short-term rentals of child care spots at participating Department of the Air Force Child Development Centers (CDCs).
KINDERSPOT AS A MOBILE APP
The Kinderspot mobile application allows military and DoD civilian families to offer and rent short-term child care, in weekly segments, at participating CDCs. This app aims to support users with their child care needs when they are on temporary duty assignments, leave, relocating to a new base or being called in for reserve duty.
KINDERSPOT AS AN ADMIN PORTAL
The Kinderspot Admin Portal is a web application that allows select CDC administrators and staff to gain access to view and manage children who indicate they hold a spot at their CDC, and those requesting to become verified renters at their CDC. They will also be able to view incoming children who are renting a spot at their CDC, and the child whose spot they are temporarily taking. Only Admin will be able to view the full name and age range of the children, as well as the user’s full name associated with the Kinderspot App account that this information is coming from.
"User" means those who voluntarily give information about themselves when signing up for the mobile application.
"User data", "data", or "information" refers to information that includes first name, last name, email, password, child/dependent first and last names, and age range categories that are collected through the app or admin portal.
"Administrator" or "Admin" refers to CDC admin or staff who voluntarily provide their email address to allow them rights to verify and manage users of the Kinderspot App.
"We" refers to the BESPIN Kinderspot USAFA Team.
"You" or "anyone" means any user using the app or admin panel.
Kinderspot collects, stores, and protects personal information that includes email, password, first name, last name and child/dependent information including first name, last name, and child age range. All of this information is collected voluntarily when the User signs up for the app.
Data is used for establishing and maintaining accounts and allows the User to enable the mobile app features. It is also used for tech support reasons so we can communicate to Users when a problem has been resolved. We record statistical information used to assess how frequently various features are used in our app and how effectively they deliver the intended outcomes so that we can continuously improve our application and user experiences. We do not include any personally identifiable information in this reporting.
KINDERSPOT ADMIN PORTAL
The Kinderspot Admin Panel collects and stores personal information that includes Admin email, first name, last name and the CDC Name of where they work. All of this information is collected voluntarily when an Admin account is created.
A User and/or Admin is able to request deletion of their data by contacting Kinderspot’s support team at firstname.lastname@example.org and providing the email the User and/or Admin is registered with. We timestamp our records to help identify stale data for all user types and may purge old records from time to time.
This application does not intend to collect or store data in such a way that is considered PII, CUI, or FOUO. However, should any data be collected which is subject to the Privacy Act of 1974 (5USC 552a(I)(3)), such data will be protected at all times and will not be shared with third parties. Data or information from the application will not be published, disclosed, released, revealed, shown, or otherwise disseminated to anyone outside of the Kinderspot Team without prior approval from appropriate government authorities. Data will not be shared with third parties and will not be used for commercial marketing purposes. Users have the ability to request the deletion of data by contacting the Support Team at email@example.com. The distribution of data from the application is given by least privilege.

The user also acknowledges that criminal penalties under the Privacy Act (5 USC 552a(I)(3)) may apply if it is determined that the user has knowingly and willfully obtained access to the application under false pretenses.
